Lyons Studios Completes Its Latest Work Of Art

See "Ole Yeller", Other Paintings At Lakeland

The staff at Aero-News is always amazed with the creations that spring forth from artist Sam Lyons' canvas... but his latest work, titled "Hoover's Ole Yeller," is particularly sharp.

Part of a series that also includes "Hoover's Maneuver" and "Hoover's Fighting Spitfire," "Ole Yeller" is the latest artwork featuring an airplane made famous by aviation legend Bob Hoover.

The painting showcases Hoover's highly recognizable yellow P-51 at the National Championship Air Races and Air Show in Reno, NV. For the next 35 years, Hoover started the show in the pilot's seat of the P-51, as the pace and safety pilot.

Prints of "Ole Yeller" are now available from Lyons Studio. Like the other two paintings, the prints are co-signed by Bob Hoover.

If you happen to be in Lakeland, FL next month for Sun 'N Fun, you can also see prints of "Ole Yeller" -- and a multitude of other paintings -- at the Lyons Studio booth inside Building A, Booth 22-23.
