Widget UK Unveils GPS Bundles for Palmone Tungsten E "GPS In A
Box"
Widget UK has come up with two
powerful new "GPS In A Box" solutions for the PalmOne organizer
platform. Each of these affordably priced bundles includes a
PalmOne Tungsten E organizer, a Bluetooth GPS Receiver and powerful
ViaMichelin MapSonic software. One bundle ships with the MapSonic
software on CD-ROM media, the second with the maps pre-installed to
a secure digital memory card. Both bundles come in attractive
retail packaging and will be in demand by Windows and Macintosh
owners alike.
What differentiates these new Kirrio bundles from their GPS
system competitors is the innovative design of the technology: Both
use voice-control and visual technology in perfect unison to
deliver remarkable satellite-based vehicle navigation and mapping
to the Palm platform.
The centerpiece of the Kirrio convergence bundle is PalmOne's
Tungsten E organizer. This sleek "go anywhere" device features a
host of powerful features, and sports a high resolution 320 by 320
transflective color screen display, a generous 32 megabytes of
on-board memory plus a responsive 126 MHz processor. The Tungsten E
also comes equipped with PalmOne’s now-standard SD expansion
card slot.
Both Kirrio bundles being offered feature ViaMichelin’s
MapSonic navigation software for the Palm OS. Install MapSonic to
the Tungsten E, activate the wireless Bluetooth GPS Receiver and
you'll be linked to a series of satellites in minutes. Voice
functionality means hands-free, safe vehicle navigation.
Both Kirrio PalmOne Premium GPS Solution bundles are
Windows-ready right out of the box. Apple iMac and iBook owners
will want to check out the secure digital media card bundle, which
features the MapSonic software pre-installed to a secure digital
card. Just pop the card into the Tungsten E and start
navigating.
