WACO Classic Aircraft Unveils New Bipe

First Three Airframes For Delivery Already On The Production Line

WACO Classic Aircraft Corporation has officially unveiled the first conforming new production Great Lakes 2T-1A-2 by WACO. Much like the currently produced WACO YMF-5D, the new production 2T-1A is culmination of a dream and the offspring of an unequaled team of talented engineers, craftspersons and pilots.

The project to reintroduce the Great Lakes 2T-1A-2 started less than two years ago. It is believed to be the only new American manufactured piston aircraft to be brought to market in the last 15 years.

Production of aircraft for customers is well under way, with the first three currently on the production line. Customer deliveries are expected to start in less then 90 days with an initial production rate of one per month thereafter.

The airplane features a Lycoming AEIO-360 180 HP fully aerobatic engine, fuel injection and a Hartzell aerobatic propeller. Avionics include a TRIG TY91 com radio, TRIG TT22 transponder, Garmin AERA-500 Touchscreen GPS with ADS-B Datalink (weather & ADS-B traffic) and a JPI-930 fully electronic engine analyzer and performance computer.
