Final Preparations Under Way For 14th Annual AOPA Fly-In

The 14th annual AOPA Fly-In and Open House is only a few days away, and holiday weekend or not, final preparations are moving ahead.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, workers set up the "big top" behind AOPA's Frederick (MD) headquarters, where visitors will be able to browse through more than 100 vendor exhibits when the Fly-In gets under way, at 8:30 a.m. this coming Saturday, June 5.

Later this week, more than 30 aircraft will arrive for the static display that will be set up on AOPA's ramp (the best spot is reserved for the grand prize in AOPA's Win-A-Twin Sweepstakes — a better-than-new 1965 Piper Twin Comanche). Presenters are putting the finishing touches on 11 hours of informative and educational seminars.

The Fly-In is free and open to everyone.
