Cirrus Intro's A New Way To Train Pilots... On Their Own Time

One Of Several Programs Intended To Enhance Ownership Experience

As part of a series of sweeping new ownership programs intended to make it easier, safer, and more economical than ever to own one of their planes, Cirrus representatives told ANN recently about their new Cirrus Access plan... which provides a factory-trained instructor to teach a new owner how to safely operate their new plane... at a more relaxed pace.

Under the Access program, a professional pilot -- who is also a certified flight instructor -- acts as a new owner's personal pilot, while also giving flight instruction... all at the owner's pace, and on their own extended schedule.

"It is our business to encourage as many people into the personal aviation industry as we can," said Cirrus Sales and Marketing VP John Bingham. "Our new ownership programs make it that much easier."

  • Cirrus Access is but one of the new programs introduced by Cirrus, in conjunction with AirVenture 2006. Others include --
  • Cirrus Certified: Owners with an existing Cirrus aircraft or owners wishing to acquire a factory re-furbished and warranted pre-owned Cirrus can choose this single, no-hassle trade-in transaction on their new plane
  • Cirrus Share: This program gathers groups of two-to-four pilots in mutually convenient geographic locations, and assists them to set up their own local partnership or become part of a Professionally Managed Shared Operation.  Cirrus Share is tailored to suit the pilot who is not yet ready for full ownership, or who flies a limited amount of hours each year.
  • Cirrus Encore: Return new aircraft customers will be rewarded for their loyalty with special allowances as members of this elite group.
  • Cirrus Insurance: Simple and Clear. Cirrus insurance professionals will provide the most competitive quote on the market for new, pre-owned or existing Cirrus aircraft.
  • Cirrus Finance: Renowned in the industry for its low and competitive rates, along with exemplary service, Cirrus Finance will provide hassle free options to help finance your Cirrus aircraft.
  • Cirrus Lease: Our lease professionals will guide customers through the benefits of leasing along with other options and help make you the important decisions about lease vs. purchase.
  • Cirrus Warranty: This program offers an array of tailored warranties to meet the needs of any customer, from new pilots to flight schools and flight operators. Additionally, Cirrus offers an extended warranty on certain approved Cirrus Certified pre owned aircraft.

"It is very important to Cirrus that we have satisfied customers and bring them back for their second, third and fourth Cirrus airplane," said Cirrus COO David Coleal. "Our innovative spirit does not end with high performance aircraft. We want to provide a total pilot solution and combined, these programs support our new tag line…"Plane Genius".
