John Provenzano Joins GAMA As Director Of Government Affairs

Comes From AIA

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) announced Monday the hiring of John Provenzano as the group's new Director of Government Affairs. Provenzano comes to GAMA from the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) where he was in charge of advocacy on all civil aviation issues as a member of the legislative affairs staff.

Prior to AIA, Provenzano was the Operations Director for Senator Bob Graham, and was also responsible for telecommunications and appropriations matters. Additionally, he served on the campaign staff throughout Senator Graham’s bid for presidency in 2003.

"John has impressive experience on both Capitol Hill as well as in the industry," said GAMA President and CEO, Pete Bunce. "His strong background in both areas will be a real asset to GAMA and the entire general aviation industry."

A native of Florida, Provenzano holds a Masters degree in Public Administration as well as a Bachelors degree in Political Science, both from the University of Florida. In addition to acting as Vice President of the Florida State Society, he is also President-elect of the Washington DC Gator Club.

GAMA is an international trade association headquartered in Washington, DC representing over 50 of the world's leading manufacturers of general aviation aircraft, engines, avionics and related equipment.
