AML STC Removes Cost- And Time-Burden Associated With
Individual Field Approvals
Avidyne Corporation has received Agência Nacional De
Aviação Civil –Brasil (ANAC) validation for
their Approved Model List Supplemental Type Certificate (AML STC)
for the installation of the ADS-B-upgradeable TAS600 Series of
Traffic Advisory Systems. This approved model list validation,
announced Monday, includes more than 400 aircraft makes and models,
including Brazilian Type Certificated (TC) aircraft models from the
Indústria Aeronáutica Neiva family of Embraer and
Piper-licensed aircraft.
“Brazil, especially the São Paulo region, has some
of the densest air traffic in the world, and a high performance
dual-antenna traffic system such as the TAS600 Series is critical
to keep pilots and their passengers safe,” said Patrick
Herguth, Chief Operating Officer. “This AML has been extended
to include a large number of aircraft that were licensed for
manufacture in Brazil, and gives our Brazilian dealers a basis for
installation approval that reduces the paperwork cost and time
associated with each TAS600 installation.”
“Avidyne traffic systems have made a significant impact on
aviation safety for general aviation aircraft owners around the
world,” said Dan Schwinn, Avidyne President and CEO.
“Regional certification approvals are important to the
continued success of our international dealers, and coupled with
our aggressive pricing of our active traffic systems, we are
providing significant safety benefits and cost savings for our
customers.”
