Meet Champion Performers At SnF

Champion Provides The Spark

Visitors to Lakeland will have the opportunity to greet some of their favorite performers at the Champion Aerospace Booth. Kirby Chamblis, Patty Wagstaff, Michael Goulian and the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team will all be making appearances over the next several days at booth B-020 just inside the southwest end of the building.

Patty Wagstaff will be there to greet the crowd on Thursday the 14th from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. She is an experienced pilot who flies in front of millions of people per year. She is a three-time U.S. National Aerobatic Champion and is based in Saint Augustine, Florida.

Kirby Chamblis will be at the Champion booth Friday 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. He'll also be there Saturday and Sunday from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m. He is the captain of the US Aerobatics team, and has won the National Aerobatics Championship four times. He stays in shape for competitions by performing regularly at air shows around the world.

Michael Goulian will also be on location Friday from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m. He grew up around aviation, and in 1990 he became the youngest pilot to become the National Advanced Aerobatic Champion. He is the president of Executive Flyers Aviation (EFA) located in Bedford, MA. He spends much of his time there when he is not flying at Air shows.

The Aeroshell Aerobatic Team will be at Champion Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brothers Alan and Mark Henley will be there along with Steve Gustafson and Gene McNeely. The team flies World War II North American AT-6 Texans through a series of formation aerobatic maneuvers for the crowd.
