NBAA '04: Raytheon Aircraft Selects AirCell Satcom For Flagship Turboprops

Systems Now Standard on King Air 350, Factory-option on B200

The Beechcraft King Air 350 will now feature the AirCell ST 3100 Satellite Telecommunications System as standard equipment and the system will be a factory option on the King Air B200. In addition to its telephone capability, the ST 3100 system acts as a global communications link, providing in-flight services such as graphical weather, messaging and ATC information through Universal Avionics’ UniLink; 24-hour medical service through MedAire’s MedLink; and real time news, sports, and financial data through Rockwell Collins’ Airshow Network. The ST 3100 system operates on the Iridium Satellite System, providing pilots and passengers all-altitude, all-latitude coverage throughout the world.

“Along with the King Airs’ Pro Line 21 avionics, the AirCell ST 3100 will add increased functionality and safety in the cockpit,” said Scott Tychsen, King Air product manager.

“We are making sure the King Air product line evolves with the latest advances in our industry.” AirCell products are currently used on the Beechcraft Premier I, Hawker 400XP and Hawker 800XP. For the King Airs, the ST 3100 will be available in 2005.
