Police Take Guitarist And Fiancé On A Heli-Tour Of Las Vegas

But Not In A Patrol Car ... DJ Ashba Proposed In A Police Helicopter

Ah Romance. Some people look for the most unique ways to pop the question. Such was the case for Guns N' Roses guitarist DJ Ashba, who managed to wrangle a ride for he and his intended in a Las Vegas Police Department helicopter for a tour of the city. The musician proposed during the tour.

But the LVPD has now launched an investigation into the stunt. Seems that it may be construed as a "misappropriation of city resources."

Ya think?

RTT News reports that it might have gone unnoticed had Ashba not gushed about the ride on Twitter. He tweeted a photo of him and his fiancé in the helicopter wearing headsets. "That was the most incredible day of our life!! Special thx to the Las Vegas Police Dept," Ashba said in a message posted on social media. "It was beautiful she didn't expect a thing, it was magical."

LVPD is conducting an internal review to determine if any "protocols" were broken, according to the Las Vegas Review.
