IMC Club Releases Android Application For CFIs

iPhone App Coming Soon

Smartphones may have gotten just a little bit more useful to instructors and pilots, as if they weren't pretty much indespensible already, with the release of IMC Club International's new Android application exclusively designed for Flight Instructors and CFI Students. The application, which will also soon be available for the iPhone, is designed to help CFIs navigate through complex endorsements and FAA regulations. It helps to insure that students comply with all the required FAA regulations, and has all of the appropriate endorsements.

This application, called 'CFI Helper', can also be used as a CFI training aid. CFI Helper covers endorsements and regulations from student pilot to a commercial student. Checklist of endorsements is design in a logical sequence with available endorsement text and related FAA Regulations.

The application price is $4.95, and will support IMC Club funding. The IMC Club is a membership based Non-Profit 501(c)(3) organization focused on instrument rated pilots and flight instructors, with a network of chapters throughout the nation. CFI Helper is downloadable from IMCClubs.com/mobile as well as the Android Market. IMC Club says the iPhone version will be available in a few days through the iTunes store. An iPad version is under development and should be available soon.
