Levil Aviation Intro's 'Joy' Joystick Control System

Device 'Re-imagines' Wireless Autopilot Controls

Levil Aviation has introduced the Levil 'Joy.'

They describe the Levil Joy as 'not just another standard joystick' -- but as a flight control system that puts autopilot authority at your fingertips using wireless communication capabilities with a fairly simple installation. The Levil Joy also features visual indications for heading, navigation, altitude, and autopilot OFF button. Additionally, it includes an integrated "Level" toggle that allows pilots to configure their aircraft for straight and level flight with the push of a button.

The Levil Joy incorporates a handy push-to-talk feature on its front controls. The rear-facing scroll wheel enables users to adjust altitude and heading hold values, as well as aircraft pitch (trim).

"Inspired by our commitment to making aviation more affordable and safer, the Levil Joy's ergonomic design brings your controls to the palm of your hands," says Ananda Leon, Software Engineer and the product designer at Levil Aviation.

Levil submits that their users will 'always have access' to the latest features and enhancements. The Levil Joy is equipped with wireless firmware updates, ensuring that pilots have the most up-to-date version.

"The new Levil Joy is the result of hundreds of hours of dedicated testing and research. We are excited to introduce this innovative product to the experimental aviation industry," says Ricardo Leon, Levil Aviation Sales & Marketing Manager.

The Levil Joy is suitable for use with the iLevil AP, a trim tab-based autopilot that weighs less than 2 pounds, including servos, Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS), WAAS GPS, ADS-B for weather and traffic information, air data, and other features. This autopilot system is particularly suitable for experimental aircraft, providing situational awareness and flight envelope protection to prevent the aircraft from entering hazardous or unstable flight conditions.
