Avionica Releases ARINC-717 / ARINC-429 MiniQAR

New Technology In The Quest For Cockpit Documentation

Avionica is out with its miniQAR, an ARINC-717 variant with dual ARINC-429 ports. The miniQAR can now access data from multiple aircraft data buses, enabling operators to access additional data not available on the Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR) bus.

"This is another first for Avionica in the field of miniature solid-state QARs," states president Raul Segredo, "Operators may now collect additional data from the FMS, or even record ACARS traffic. Significantly, aircraft previously missing required FOQA/FDM parameters may now be added to an operator’s monitored fleet."

Data can be automatically synchronized and viewed together with the flight recorder data using the company’s AVSCAN.flight Flight Data Analysis Software.
