ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell and ANN News Editor, Tom Patton, both attended the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo 2106 in Sebring, FL. In this video they are discussing things of interest they found at the Expo, and the other issues that led to a less than fully successful event.
Tom starts off by discussing the problems that occurred in regards to the weather. To put it in its simplest form, the weather was lousy and resulted in a complete shutdown of the Expo for one day.
Jim agrees with Tom that the weather was a problem but he also points out that there were some innovative things to see at the Expo this year. As Tom and Jim discuss the news about a couple of new airplanes and various types of innovative equipment, our camera crew follows along to give you look at what they’re talking about. You’ve just got to love the new TruTrak autopilot!
Follow along as Jim and Tom discuss other light sport issues such as how the new medical rules will apply when they are approved, and what effect this will have on light sport aviation. Other issues discussed related to the amazing innovation that is taken place in aircraft certification through industry standards rather than FAA rules.
Join Jim and Tom in the video as these two knowledgeable guys discuss the Expo and light sport aviation.
