One More Look at Oshkosh 03

Oshkosh 2003 was a particularly special time for a lot of aviation people. The spirit of the industry didn't seem so shakey as in recent years; more projects seem to have been completed; people were happy again, and not afraid to let others know.

Couple that with the wonderful spirit and camaraderie of the event, the sweet smell of cool air after a thunderstorm, and the constant, wonderful aircraft noise -- from fighter jets to little two-strokes -- and you get the idea.

ANN Reader Deron Lewis was out  at the meet with his camera one evening, and shot this dramatic and beautiful sunset shot of the tag-enders of a PPC swarm, and sent it to us. We don't have a snappy story to go with it; but it so captures a moment of grace, beauty, freedom, and fun, that we didn't think you'd mind just looking at it. Thanks, Deron!
