Company Has Established More Than 40 Centers Worldwide
The global network of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities servicing Pratt & Whitney’s GTF engines continues to grow and provide world-class service to Pratt & Whitney’s GTF customers. Over 40 repair and overhaul facilities across the globe have signed up to be repair providers for the revolutionary GTF engine family.
“At Pratt & Whitney, we are intently focused on providing best-in-class service to our customers, day in and day out,” said Joe Sylvestro, vice president, Global Aftermarket Operations, Pratt & Whitney. “We have built the GTF MRO network to have an extensive global reach with various engine centers and repair facilities. With our continued investment in technology, our facilities and our industry-leading workforce, we are well prepared to meet the ever-growing GTF MRO backlog.”
The GTF MRO network, comprised of the industry’s leading MRO companies, includes Pratt & Whitney, MTU Aero Engines (MTU), Japanese Aero Engines Corporation (JAEC), Lufthansa Technik (LHT) and most recently, Delta TechOps. By 2020, there will be 10 active GTF MRO engine centers.
In 2018 alone, Pratt & Whitney announced 10 suppliers that will be joining the GTF repair network for the PW1100G-JM and PW1500G engines. As engine volume grows, the network will continue to expand to include other worldwide airline and MRO facilities.
The GTF MRO network is part of Pratt & Whitney’s EngineWise services solutions, which provides engine operators with a variety of aftermarket services resulting in long-term, sustainable value.
