2010 European Business Aviation Awards Presented At EBACE

Elie Zelouf, Aéroports de Paris Officials Win Biz-Av Honors

The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and the NBAA used the backdrop of EBACE Tuesday to announced that Elie Zelouf, senior vice president of Jet Aviation, and officials at Aéroports de Paris are the recipients of the 2010 European Business Aviation Awards. The European Business Aviation Awards were presented during the opening day of the 10th Annual European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2010), the only European exhibition focusing solely on business aviation.

This year's award recipients both have demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication to advancing the business aviation industry. Elie Zelouf, a part of Jet Aviation from its earliest days, was instrumental in developing the company's Basel facility, helping to pioneer the early days of business aviation in Europe.

Rodolfo Baviera, EBAA chairman, commended Elie Zelouf as a true visionary leader for business aviation. "Described as a man of action, who knows first-hand what clients expect, Zelouf has always believed in the future of business aviation, even in difficult times," Baviera said. "This award honors his relentless drive, unwavering support and dedication to the business aviation community."

Officials from Aéroports de Paris, the first dedicated business aviation airfield in Europe, have continuously promoted the value of business aviation and recently extended that commitment by unanimously voting to launch a 20-year, 170 million euro ($221 million U.S.) airport modernization program.

"We join the Aéroport de Paris's Le Bourget airfield in celebrating its 50th anniversary as being the first business aviation airport in Europe," Baviera said. "Le Bourget truly exemplifies the many benefits and opportunities business aviation offers a region, a country and the global business community."

NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen thanked the award receptions for their hard work and dedication to the business aviation community. "These leaders in the European business aviation community have earned this recognition, and it is an honor to present them with these awards," he said.
The annual European Business Aviation Awards have been given since the inception of EBACE in 2001.
