New EVS Certified For Dassault Falcon 7X

Esterline's Suresight Enhance Vision System Now FAA, EASA Certified

Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC)'s second-generation SureSight CMA-2600 I-Series Integrated Sensor System is now approved for use as an Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) on the Dassault Falcon 7X. This approval was granted recently by the FAA and follows the certification by the EASA, the lead certification authority, received in July 2010. With these approvals, F7X operators can now take advantage of expanded operational credits afforded to aircraft equipped with an EFVS.

"These certifications confirm the innovative technology and winning combination of capability, availability and performance of our SureSight CMA-2600 I-Series Sensor System," said Greg Yeldon, President, Esterline CMC Electronics. "These approvals are the culmination of an exhaustive development program lead by Dassault, teaming CMC's product with Rockwell Collins Head-up Guidance Systems' Head-up Display technology."

CMC's expanding SureSight family of integrated sensor systems includes the CMA-2600, CMA-2600i, and the CMA-2700, a higher resolution, increased capability sensor system that is currently in development. They are designed to meet demanding video performance, reliability and quality standards. CMC's EFVS sensors continue to be the leading choice for airframe manufacturers and prime contractors. They offer enhanced situational awareness in adverse operating conditions and enable operators to take advantage of regulations expanding the operational capabilities of aircraft equipped with an EFVS.
