Aspiring Model On Photoshoot Is Hit By A Drone

Aircraft Struck Her In The Face

A young woman who has hopes of one day becoming a model and actress was hit in the face by a UAV during a photoshoot with a photographer friend Saturday.

The online gossip site TMZ reports that Jess Adams was posing for her friend in Malibu, CA on a rocky bluff near the ocean. She said it was her first time working with an aerial camera platform.

But as she struck a pose overlooking the ocean, the aircraft unexpectedly swerved towards her and hit her in the face, causing minor injuries on her nose and near her left eye.

Adams said she doesn't think the pilot lost control of the aircraft, but that rather a gust of wind caught it and pushed into her face. She was checked out at local ER and released.

She told TMZ that if you have to be hit in the face by a drone, "at least be able to watch it and die laughing."
