Industry Veteran To Head Sales Team
Sandel Avionics announced Monday the
hiring of Jerry Henry as Director of Sales. Henry will oversee
Sandel’s sales team and be responsible for worldwide sales of
its Primary Navigation and Attitude Displays, self-contained
Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS), and solid-state
Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS).
Henry’s hire culminates the company’s long
search for a successor to Bill Wood, who passed away from a bout
with cancer in 2006.
"I am honored to have Jerry join us," said Gerry Block,
Sandel’s founder and CEO. "I have known Jerry for 15 years
and have watched him serve in many capacities giving him a unique
perspective to the needs of both end users and installers. He is
highly regarded in our industry and his experience and leadership
will help us grow as we respond to the increasing demand for our
high-performance 3- and 4-ATI displays. And his extensive
background with helicopters will help us develop new customer
relationships in this important area."
With over 30 years in the industry, Henry comes to Sandel with a
wide range of avionics experience which includes civilian,
government and military applications. Having held numerous
positions there, Henry most recently served as Senior Manager of
Customer Support for Avidyne and prior to that was General Manager
of Cinema Air Avionics in Carlsbad, CA. During his career Henry has
been active in several aviation industry groups including the
Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA), Airborne Law Enforcement
Association (ALEA) and Helicopter Association International
(HAI).
Sandel Avionics, located in Vista, CA, is a privately held
company that designs and manufactures high-performance 3- and 4-ATI
displays, TAWS and solid-state sensors for retrofit in general
aviation, business aviation, air transport, government and military
aircraft.
