CAE-Built Simulator Now Available At Dallas Training Center
Bombardier says it is expanding its worldwide training capabilities for business aircraft customers with the addition of a Level D Full-Flight Simulator (FFS) for Global 5000 and Global 6000 aircraft equipped with the Bombardier Vision Flight Deck. The newly added, CAE-built FFS is located at Bombardier's training center in Dallas, Texas and was installed in March 2013. This addition boosts OEM-backed Global 5000 and Global 6000 aircraft flight training and maintenance training, currently offered at Bombardier's training center in Montréal, Canada. Bombardier Aircraft Training is planning multiple certifications for the new simulator, in support of its business aircraft customers. The FFS will be ready for training in June 2013.
“Bombardier continuously evaluates its worldwide training footprint to maximize availability and convenience for its business aircraft customers,” said Leon Botteron, General Manager, Aircraft Training, Bombardier Aerospace. “We continue to leverage the latest technology and our instructors’ real-word experience to provide quality, OEM-designed training in both Montréal, Canada and Dallas, Texas.”
Bombardier is one of the only business jet manufacturers which provides training on its own aircraft programs. Bombardier uses custom, state of the art classroom technology systems, a suite of high fidelity training devices and certified Level D Full-Flight Simulators to provide flight training and maintenance training to Learjet, Challenger and Global operators.
Bombardier operates two training facilities – in Montréal and Dallas – and has a network of worldwide facilities through Authorized Training Provider (ATP) agreements. With real-world aircraft expertise, Bombardier’s pilot and maintenance instructors train operators to help maximize the safety, efficiency and dispatch reliability of their Bombardier fleet.
