Airborne 07.24.19-OSH19-Day 3: Dickson Confirmed, WomenVenture, Sling

Also: Pipistrel Electri-Flies, Avilution Keeps Innovating, Deland 2019, Jack Pelton Interview--Part 3

Note From The ANN E-I-C (Guy Who Takes The Blame): By the time that you read this, ANN's staff is either on its way home, at home in a semi-comatose state, or has checked in at a home for wayward Aviators for a little rest and therapy. But, as we do each year after Oshkosh, we'll be repeating the amazing week, in sequence, over the next few days so you can catch up on all you might have missed -- as we rest up and get ready for the continuation of our regular news programming on the 8th of August. This is probably the last time we can get away with taking a post-OSH break, so we're going to enjoy it as much as we can...

Topping our program today is the announcement the United States Senate has confirmed Steven Dickson as the next Administrator of the FAA.

Tom Patton fills us in... The Airplane Factory--fresh off their marathon non-stop journey from California to Wisconsin in a Sling 4 -- had multiple announcements at Airventure today. Pipistrel is making a name for itself in the E-VTOL Urban Air Mobility market, and is considered one of the leading candidates for the Uber Elevate program. They have a 25-percent scale model of the E-VTOL 801 aircraft on display at their booth, they’re also hosting a special guest this week. Earlier today -- ANN’s Sophie Hurlock got an opportunity to speak with the amazing Riley Spiedel-- a fourteen year old pilot who took a solo cross country from California to Maine earlier this summer. Avilution is expanding the types of aircraft for which it is building its unique Un-Panel. Tom Patton Talked with Avilution’s Founder Mark Spencer about the expansion and other developments in the company. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!

Airborne 07.24.19 is chock full of info in this Daily News Episode, Wednesday, July 24th, 2019... Presented by Aero-TV veteran videographer and Airborne Host Sophie Hurlock. Sophie is supported by ANN Chief  Videographer Nathan Cremisino and Videographers Annie Byers and Krister Persing, as well as ANN CEO/Editor-In-Chief Jim Campbell. This episode covers:
