Margo Chase Fatally Injured In Aerobatic Practice Accident

Founder Of Chase Design Group Had Been An Experienced Aerobatic Pilot

The founder of the Chase Design Group, Margo Chase, was fatally injured Saturday in an accident while practicing an aerobatic routine on July 22.

Chase founded the company which created the logos for the television programs "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Angel" and "Charmed", according to Deadline Hollywood.

The 59-year-old executive was also an accomplished aerobatic pilot. In a statement, International Aerobatic Club President Michael Heuer said Chase was practicing an unlimited aerobatic routine in her Panzl airplane in Apple Valley, CA. Her husband Patrick Dugan was watching from the ground when the accident occurred.

"Margo was one of the most skilled, talented, and dedicated people I have ever met in my life. Though I first met her a few years at a Board meeting, over the last three years we worked very closely on IAC projects and my admiration for her only grew," Heuer said. "She was bright, intelligent, and simply fun to be with. She thoroughly enjoyed flying, our sport, and our history, traditions, and people."
