Teledyne Continental Roars Into Oshkosh '09 As An ANN Major Sponsor

Feel The Power With TCM at Oshkosh Display Areas #229-234

Teledyne Continental Motors (TCM) is known for being an industry leader that produces the best aviation products. At EAA's AirVenture the pre-Oshkosh showdown included a press conference by TCM at which they showed off and discussed their newest products and the future of the company.

The TSIOF-550 was one of the first items to be discussed as it recently achieved FAA Certification. The Turbocharged Engine is the first Full Authority Digital Electronic Controlled (FADEC) system was a response to the increasing demand for an engine with high horsepower with electronic engine controls.

They also unveiled the new Turbocharged Cirrus SR22. The aircraft was not only unveiled as a beautiful piece of machinery which houses a multi-purpose engine, but it also served as way to demonstrate the future of aviation alternative fuels. The SR22 flew into Oshkosh on UL94 Unleaded Aviation Fuel. The use of the alternative fuel in the engine was part of the effort by TCM to show that the company is preparing for the introduction of alternative fuels into the aviation industry.
