Organization Is Approaching Its Sixth Anniversary
The Society of Aviation and Flight Educators, SAFE, will soon be celebrating its 6th anniversary, and the organization is looking to its members for financial support.
In a letter addressed to members and forwarded to ANN, SAFE Executive Diretor Doug Stewart says that while many members donate their time and energy to SAFE, the work of SAFE still takes money. "We are asking you to please consider a donation to SAFE before the end of the year. As a 501-C-3 organization, your donation to SAFE is fully tax-deducible," he said.
Since its founding in 2009, SAFE has provided its members with valuable support through our growing Resource Center, our eMagazine, member benefits, the finest CFI insurance program available, mentoring, and ongoing representation at the highest levels with the FAA, the NTSB, and other aviation stakeholders.
"Our slogan is 'We're all about our members'," Stewart wrote. "We are constantly working to give you the support you need, so that you can assist current and future aviators in realizing their dreams. Without your service and dedication, their dreams might never come true. Please help us keep those dreams alive with your year-end donation to SAFE.
"Your year-end gift, large or small, will help SAFE continue to grow and to provide more benefits to our members, while helping others in our aviation community fulfill their dreams. I'm pleased to tell you several current and former members of the SAFE Board of Directors have accepted a challenge to match donations made before the end of the year. So for every dollar you donate, these members will donate another two dollars. Please give the gift of aviation education through a monetary donation to SAFE."
