Announces Grand Opening Of Two New FBOs
Million Air recently celebrated the grand opening of two new
fixed-base operations: the extensively renovated Million Air Los
Angeles, at Hawthorne Municipal Airport, and the newly-constructed
Million Air Medford, at Oregon's Rogue Valley International-Medford
Airport.
Million Air Los Angeles is the closest private terminal to
downtown Los Angeles, and is only 3.8 miles southeast of Los
Angeles International Airport. The FBO is owned by Century Aviation
Holdings, Inc. and was officially added to the Million Air network
on October 1, 2006. More than $1 million in renovations later, the
FBO officially opened its doors earlier this year.
The Medford FBO, which is owned by Superior Air Charter, Inc.,
was officially added to the Million Air network in January. The new
15,000-square-foot, three-story terminal building and a
25,000-square-foot maintenance facility were unveiled at a special
ceremony in May.
"The Hawthorne facility marks the third Million Air location in
Los Angeles County," said Million Air President and Chief Executive
Officer Roger Woolsey. "Coupled with our locations in Burbank and
Van Nuys, we now offer even greater convenience for the wealth of
business and luxury leisure travelers in southern California. LAX
is the third busiest airport in the U.S., which keeps all three
Million Air locations very active."
Both FBOs offers several amenities including a pilot theater
lounge, passenger lounge, flight planning room, 24-hour on-call
service, tie-down and aircraft storage, conference room and
complimentary beverage/snack bar.
