Embry-Riddle Hosts Summit On Future of Aviation Maintenance

Issues Facing Future Technicians Will Be Addressed

Earlier this week, Aero-News reported on an upcoming symposium on aircraft training being conducted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Now comes word ERAU's Charles Taylor Department of Aviation Maintenance Science, at the Daytona Beach, FL campus, will host a "Future of Aviation Maintenance" Summit as well, on May 24-26, 2006.

At the conference, professionals in the aviation maintenance industry will present and analyze their findings on the most pressing issues facing the industry and future technicians. Attendees from the Pittsburgh meetings are cordially invited to attend. Additional industry representatives will participate in this follow-on forum.

Agenda
Wednesday, May 24, 5-7 p.m. 
  • Welcome reception, Spruance Hall atrium, Embry-Riddle, 600 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Daytona Beach. 
  • Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
Thursday, May 25, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Industry presentations and breakout sessions, College of Aviation, Embry-Riddle.
  • Luncheon: noon to 1 p.m.
Friday, May 26, 8 a.m. to noon. 
  • Committee reports and wrap-up, with action items to be assigned.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University offers more than 30 degree programs in its colleges of Arts and Sciences, Aviation, Business, and Engineering and meets the needs of students and industry through educational, training, research, and consulting activities.
