Redbird Migration 2016 Pushes Innovation In Flight Training

Event Has Grown To Such A Level That 2017 Event Will Convene In Oshkosh

A well-attended 2016 Redbird Migration Flight Training Conference finished its latest edition on an up-note as the company announced a number of additions and transitions.

Redbird Flight, in partnership with Bank of the Ozarks Business Aviation Group, have announced the formation of Redbird Finance, a new program providing finance options for Redbird flight training systems and services. Through Redbird Finance customers are offered equipment financing of a type and specificity that has not been available for many years for such equipment. Financing options are available for the entire line of Redbird Products.

Further, due to the size and complexity of this growing event, next year's Migration will be held in Oshkosh, WI.

The event, the sixth of its kind, certainly provided a focal point for all things, flight training, and received solid support and accolades from those in attendance.

In addition to the various keynote presentations, conference goers attended several break-out sessions on topics like aeromedical reform, experiential learning, flight reviews, and, of course, flight simulation as a training tool.

This year's event featured a unique team-building exercise called “UCON Build Something that Flies.” The competition challenged participants to build a model aircraft out of a collection of parts from a “mystery box” that included foam core, rubber bands, a propeller, super glue, a photo of Elvis Presley and a can of Cheez Whiz. The designs were judged in multiple categories, and some were event test flown... thankfully without injury (grin).

The event also included the announcement of a realignment of Redbird's management team, with Uber-Boss Jerry Gregoire stepping aside to allow his son Charlie to take the helm while he pursues other projects. Todd Willinger remains Redbird's Long-time CEO.
