U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK), a member of the Senate General Aviation Caucus and certified flight instructor, said Friday that his Pilot's Bill of Rights (S.1335) has been officially signed into law. Inhofe has worked to pass the legislation for the past year.
Airshow Pilot Kent Pietsch is reported in stable condition following Saturday accident that occurred during the first day of a weekend airshow in which he was listed as a featured performer. Wetaskiwin is some 70 km South of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Greg Koontz, known for his precise work in a bright red Decathlon showed up with a new airplane for this year's show at Oshkosh and in a matter of minutes wound up using up more of his luck and skill than he cared to expend.
