Aero-TV: Effortless Towing – TRACE’s Remote Control TowBot

C.E.O. David Czarnecki Profiles Alternative for Aircraft Re-Positioning

With the ability to rotate an aircraft inside of its own wingspan, the TRACE TowBot provides owners an easy solution for aircraft re-positioning, especially within close quarters. Eliminating electrical cords, fueling, or hard starting, the TowBot is guided by a handheld, remote control device. With the increased flexibility, owners can observe the towing process from a better vantage point often eliminating the need for wing-walkers.

Powered by a 24VDC motor with smooth start and stop regulation, the standard unit TowBot can handle aircraft up to 15,000 pounds. Offering a 36VDC capability, the heavy-duty unit can handle aircraft up to 30,000 pounds including such models as the Citation Jet and the entire King Air line.

The bomber TowBot can handle an impressive 45,000 pounds, capable of handling most business jet in the market including such aircraft as the Falcon 2000. In addition, TRACE recently added a retrofitted TowBot to their product line that can handle aircraft with wheel plants, ideal for all Cirrus, Cessna, and Piper models.

Maintenance is extremely minimal and replacement parts, when needed, are inexpensive compared to many competitors. Training is available for interested customers. Currently, prices range from $7,499 for the standard unit to $11,999 for the bomber unit.
