Certified: Symphony Aircraft Industries Symphony 160 Gets TC

Symphony Aircraft Industries (SAI) has announced that the FAA has issued a Type Certificate for the SA 160 aircraft to Symphony Aircraft Industries.

“Receiving the Symphony 160’s FAA type certificate is a significant milestone for our company and this aircraft,” said SAI President and CEO Paul Costanzo. “The US market is one of great importance for Symphony Aircraft Industries, with the FAA type certificate in hand there are no more obstacles,  and American pilots can start taking delivery of their new U.S. registered SA 160."

Issued on Monday, May 2, the FAA type certificate follows on the heels of the Canadian type and production certificates, which were issued by Transport Canada in mid-March and the European type certificate issued by EASA. The FAA type certificate will allow SAI to register the SA 160 in the United States. It also facilitates the delivery of these aircraft through American Symphony and its national network of dealers.
