Will Prepare Pilots For Vacancies In Airbus Single-Aisle Aircraft

BAA Training, one of the leading aviation training centers in Northern Europe, and Avion Express, an airline headquartered in Vilnius, have announced new collaboration to support future aviation talents. Under the partnership, BAA Training will prepare pilots to fill vacancies for the expanding fleet of Airbus A319, A320, and A321 aircraft operated by Avion Express.

The initial pilot training program for people with little to no flying experience is being launched in an effort to meet the constantly growing demand for new pilots at the company. After passing a multistage selection process and successfully completing the ATPL (frozen) course, pilots will secure a flying job at Avion Express.

“This program is a great opportunity for young people seeking to spur a career in aviation and become co-pilots on our fleet of Airbus aircraft," said Gardar Forberg, CEO of Avion Express. "Moreover, it puts candidates on a direct path to a long-term tenure in our company with a view to becoming captains." Not only does this program offer substantial benefits for future pilots, but also greatly benefits those who are already enrolled by motivating them to perform better, as the successful completion of the course means a possibility to join the airline straightaway.
