Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for a contract to develop
active rotor technologies that will allow aircraft to adapt to a

Roll Out Consulting Service For Electronic Flight Bags
On Board Data Systems (OBDS), a developer of electronic flight
bag (EFB) technology, announced a consulting service to aid air
carriers and corporate flight operations to plan, create, and
certify their own EFB program, including all the necessary
regulatory documentation and manuals.
Eurocopter is displaying an EC135 P2i with a newly developed
inlet barrier filter (IBF) at the Heli-Expo show in Houston. During
the show, the aircraft was handed over to ADAC Air Rescue of
Germany, the first operator to put the new system into service.
CAE says it plans to launch a family of helicopter mission
simulators for the civil helicopter market, the company announced
Monday at the Helicopter Association International (HAI) Heli-Expo
conference. The first CAE 3000 Series simulator will be available
for training by the summer of 2010.
Eurocopter is displaying its new fire-fighting system developed
for the EC225 at this year’s Heli-Expo. The system has been
tested during forest fires on the island of Corsica (France). The
first operator to utilize this system is South Korea’s
National 119 Rescue Service with its EC225.
Conklin & de Decker is celebrating 25 years of providing
aircraft operating cost data and educational programs at this
year's Heli-Expo. In recognition of that milestone, the company
announced Monday it will donate $2500 to the Helicopter Foundation
International (HFI) scholarship fund.
