Certified: Becker Avionics DVCS 6100

Production To Begin In Florida Immediately

The FAA has granted a production certification to Becker Avionics to manufacture the Digital Voice Communication System (DVCS) 6100 at its U.S. subsidiary, in Miramar, Florida.

DVCS 6100

"With certification and production authority in hand, Becker Avionics will begin manufacturing the DVCS6100 system in the U.S. immediately" said Roland Becker, President and CEO of the Becker Avionics Group. "The decision for establishing a U.S. production line was taken in 2009. This step is of great importance to the Becker Avionics Group, as we strengthen our presence in the U.S. We are committed long-term to enhancing our U.S. presence as well as serving the North and South American aviation markets more closely. Over the past 2 years we have focused on penetrating the U.S. market, and it is critical for us that we remain competitive in the biggest aviation market in the world."

"Our staff worked hard over the past 18 months to build-up the production capability," added Arturo Garcia, Production Manager. "This included excessive overseas training, facility modification, inventory build-up and establishing the required FAA documentation and manuals to receive the FAA production certificate. The local production capability will further strengthen our U.S. employee base, support maintaining our competitive edge, and will bring significant economic activity to Becker Avionics."
