FlightSafety Announces Milestone Master Technician Graduate

Joe Ping Is The 4,000Th Aircraft Maintenance Technician To Successfully Complete The Program

FlightSafety International is pleased to announce that Joe Ping, Manager, Aircraft Maintenance, Global Integrated Services – Aviation, Cummins Inc., is the 4,000th aircraft maintenance technician to successfully complete the Master Technician training program. Joe earned his Master Technician certificate following completion of a comprehensive multi-year training curriculum for the Gulfstream G280 aircraft.

“We are very pleased and proud to congratulate Joe Ping (pictured) on his significant achievement and to celebrate the awarding of FlightSafety’s 4,000th Master Technician certificate,” said Daniel MacLellan, Senior Vice President, Operations. “The recognition Joe and all others who have completed this rigorous program is most deserved.”

FlightSafety Master Technician training provides aviation maintenance professionals with in-depth instruction and real-world practical training. This innovative and unique program was developed in close collaboration with aircraft, component, and systems manufacturers. It is designed to enable technicians to further enhance their contributions to the safety, reliability and operating efficiency of the aircraft or components they support and maintain.

In order to earn this important certification, technicians must complete five advanced aircraft type and path specific maintenance courses. The paths include Airframe, Avionics, Composites, Engines, and Management. Technicians typically earn a Master Technician certificate in several paths. It usually takes four to five years to complete the program.

FlightSafety offers a wide variety of maintenance training programs. Courses are available for the complete line of Pratt & Whitney Canada engines, Honeywell engines, auxiliary power systems, avionics, Satcomm, and environmental control systems, as well as aircraft manufactured by Bombardier, Dassault Falcon, Embraer, Gulfstream, Leonardo, Piaggio, Sikorsky and Textron. The training is approved by virtually every leading aviation authority worldwide.
