Self-Exposing Gramma Pleads Guilty

Shirley Martin Lindstrom, 66, Pleads Guilty To "Assault On An Aircraft"

Remember when we told you about the 66-year-old intoxicated woman who boarded a Southwest Airlines flight in Orlando (FL) enroute to Albuquerque (NM) and decided she was going to expose herself to the crew and passengers, among other things? The flight was diverted to Amarillo (TX), where she was promptly arrested by an FBI agent.

After exposing herself to him, she then proceeded to threaten to kill him, and then tried to bribe the officers who took her to the local jail for booking.

Shirley Lindstrom faced a judge in US District Court on Thursday for her very bizarre actions, and decided it might be a good idea to make a deal with the prosecutor and plead guilty to the lesser charge of something we at ANN have never heard of -- "assault on an aircraft."

ANN has tried to obtain a description of what this means, but so far all we have been able to surmise is that she must have hit some sheet metal really, really hard, which appears to be classified as a federal misdemeanor that carries a possible six-month jail sentence or up to five years probation. The indictment against her charging her with interfering with the flight crew will more than likely be dismissed at her sentencing hearing.
