Organizers Promise A "Spectacular" Event Honoring Veterans
The arrival of the St. Augustine
Air Show usually elicits feelings of excitement from residents all
over Florida, but in St. Augustine particular. Organizers say this
two-day annual event is filled with thrills and entertainment for
the families viewing the show.
The St. Augustine Air show dates back to 1967 and is an event
that is geared towards honoring Military Veterans both past and
present. Flight demonstrations, static displays and other
activities mark this great event. The children are not left out as
activities are also arranged for them. Aerobatic, military and
civilian aircraft all participate in the activities.
"The event will be spectacular," says Craig Fordem, the
President of St. Augustine Air Shows. "There will be performances
by world-renown aerobatic pilots as well as many outstanding
military exhibits and static displays. We are planning events for
the whole family that recognize and support the contributions made
by our veterans. This will be a celebration of the true spirit of
Memorial Day."
Performers confirmed for the show include Gene Soucy Airshows
and Airshow Aces, Team MS760, the Shockwave Jet Truck, the Viper
East Team, the Misty Blues all-woman skydiving team, the Heavy
Metal Jet Team, and others.
Organizers says the St. Augustine Air Shows also presents an
opportunity for several businesses and companies to promote their
products and services through their unique marketing opportunities
that cost far less than what is charged for such marketing efforts,
especially locally.
Tickets are available online on the show's website.
