Pilots And The Public Will Have Access To WSI's Weather Information

WSI Corporation will host a number of weather briefing outlets for travelers to EAA AirVenture 2004 in Oshkosh (WI). Ten WSI Pilotbrief stations will be active throughout the event. These systems will allow event coordinators and pilots to stay abreast of any changes in the weather. Locations include Warbird, Vintage, Ultralight, and Homebuilt aircraft areas; the Seaplane Base, Kermit Weeks and South Maintenance Hangars; Convention Headquarters and the Announcers Stand. Additionally, WSI's cockpit weather briefing solution, WSI InFlight, will be on display in the EAA's Membership Tent.

WSI is also providing the Temporary FSS at Oshkosh eight WSI FAA Pilotbrief Vector briefing stations for the duration of the event. FSS specialists will utilize the WSI systems to brief pilots flying in and out of the Whitman Regional area. This is the 5th year that WSI has had the honor of assisting the EAA and FAA in their mission to conduct a successful and safe fly-in.

EAA AirVenture attendees will be able to plan their day weather-wise, with the WSI AirVenture Forecast published in AirVenture Today, the official newspaper of the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh event. A three day forecast will feature daily high and low temperatures as well as sky conditions. Readers will find the forecast on the front page of the paper.

A free WSI aviation weather website for the region surrounding Oshkosh leading up to and during AirVenture 2004 will also be available. The purpose built site will offer surface prognostics, satellite imagery and WSI's industry leading WSI NOWrad radar summary. The site will be available through the event and for a short time thereafter.
