Airborne 07.26.18-OSH18-Day 4: FAA Boss Elwell, WomenVenture, Hoover’s Legacy

Also: Alsim FlightSims, Continental Motors Plans Long-Term, Jack Pelton Interview--Part 4

ANN had the chance to chat with the FAA’s Acting Administrator Elwell for the better part of 30 minutes this morning... chatting about ADS-B, ATC Privatization, Unmanned aviation issues, the policy of billing EAA for ATC services, Part 61 issues and more.

Following the chat with Administrator Elwell, the FAA Boss journeyed over the EAA’s Theater In The Woods in order to conduct the annual ‘Meet The Boss’ event, in which real live aviators get to question FAA’s top guy. One reason that ANN will shortly produce a new Airborne weekly news show dedicated to women in aviation... called ‘Airborne Aviatrix,’ is the prominent, growing, powerful presence of the women who populate the aviation world. This year’s WomenVenture experience is but one more reason that the role of women in the aviation and aerospace world must be acknowledged, celebrated, and encouraged. The ‘Friends of Bob’, the Annual Bob Hoover Legacy Foundation Gathering at Oshkosh 2018, featured great stories, a toast to the memory of the late Bob Hoover and more details on Jim Campbell’s forthcoming book about the best stories and remembrances of this amazing aviator. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!

Airborne 07.26.18 is chock full of info in this Daily News Episode, Thursday, July 26th, 2017... Presented by Aero-TV veteran videographer and Airborne Host Laura Hutson. Laura is supported by ANN Chief Videographer Nathan Cremisino and Videographers Annie Byers and Dan Klopp, as well as ANN CEO/Editor-In-Chief Jim Campbell. This episode covers:
