Aircraft Partnership Association Tops 5,000 Members

APA Claims 100 Percent Increase In Members Since March

The Aircraft Partnership Association (APA) announced last week that the Association has posted its 5,000th member profile on the official website. Having grown its membership 100% since March 2009, the Association is quickly proving itself as the place for aviators to find partners in new, pre-owned and currently owned aircraft to effectively lower the total cost of acquisition and ownership.

The Aircraft Partnership Association APA is a private association founded by pilots, for pilots who want to help realize the dream of aircraft ownership on their own terms. Using web-based programs to match personal partnership preferences that include aircraft type, budget, airport location, flying experience and more, the APA encourages pilots to post their secure profiles on-line for free in the Virtual Pilot Lounge portion of the website in an effort to match like-minded aviators who want to share costs through a private partnership.

"While aircraft sales have slowed, the passion to keep flying is as powerful as it has always been," stated David A. Kruger, President of the Aircraft Partnership Association. "Today's reality is that an aircraft is an under-utilized asset that doesn't need to be owned by a single entity. It just makes good fiscal sense to share the cost of owning and operating an asset that doesn't get used every day."

The Association uses 21st Century technology to solve a 100-year old problem - how to find partners to effectively reduce the cost of aircraft ownership. The service is free to Association members and it works for any aircraft, any budget, anywhere

"The APA is what brought our partnership together," stated Bill Boczany, APA Member 2113. "In January 2009, I became interested in purchasing an aircraft. Initially, I posted bulletin board notices with pictures at local airports but I got absolutely no bites and no responses. Then I joined APA and quickly found two APA members nearby who were already looking for a third partner. We formed a partnership and took delivery of a brand new Tecnam P2002 Sierra Deluxe SLSA aircraft in June 2009," Boczany concluded.
