Governor Will Sign Bill Outlawing Impersonation Of Flight Crew Member

If you're a flight crew member headed for Midway or O'Hare, be sure to take along your ID. Pretty soon, if you're caught wearing your uniform in a restricted area within the airport, you could wind up charged with a felony.

Based on a report by Chicago's CLTV, the Illinois Senate Friday passed legislation that will outlaw the wearing of a flight officer's uniform inside secure airport facilities if you're not a flight crew member.

The CLTV investigation showed how easy it is to obtain a uniform over the Internet -- without identification -- and simply walk into restricted-access areas of an airport.

Governor Rod Blagojevich has said he will sign the legislation.
