Piper Names Jack Mill V.P., Engineering

Has Served As Interim VP For Several Months

Piper Aircraft Inc. has named Jack Mill as Vice President of Engineering, reporting to President and CEO Simon Caldecott. Mill (pictured) most recently had been leading the Piper Engineering team as VP in an interim role for several months. "Jack brings more than 30 years of aircraft design and engineering experience at Piper and the aerospace industry," Caldecott said. Since  joining Piper in 1985 he held positions of increasing responsibility in Design, Engineering Management, and Piper's delegated FAA Organization.

"His experience leading diverse technical teams, managing large and small technical projects, and creating and fostering a team environment will continue to benefit the company in his new senior leadership role," Caldecott said.

Jack holds a bachelor of science in engineering from the University of Central Florida, is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida and is an FAA Engineering Authorized Representative, a Certified Flight Instructor and a Commercial Pilot with instrument rating in single and multi-engine aircraft.

Headquartered in Vero Beach, FL, Piper Aircraft manufactures and sells single-engine and twin-engine aircraft. All Piper airplanes feature advanced Garmin avionics in the cockpit. Piper is a member of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association.
