Owners Group Forms To Support The Littlest Citation

Mustang Owners, Unite!

Following the example set by other successful aircraft owner/pilot groups, a group of Cessna Citation Mustang owners, pilots and vendors is forming the Citation Mustang Owners and Pilots Association (CMOPA).

The group, still in its early formation stage, plans to bring added value to owners and pilots of the Mustang through an annual meeting, and a website where owners and operators can share experiences, issues, and solutions related to owning and operating a Mustang.

Mark Baumgartner -- president of aircraft financier JetDollars, Inc, and the group's founder -- said the group's first member has quite a story in his own right. As ANN reported, Jared Isaacman was the first individual to fly the Mustang around the world, doing so in Serial Number 26 while raising almost $50,000 for Make-a-Wish foundation.

"I look forward to the camaraderie I have seen grow and develop in other successful ownership groups such as the Malibu/Mirage Owners and Pilots Association," said Baumgartner. "While providing a forum for the promotion of safe and enjoyable operation of the aircraft, the association will also give vendors a chance to present their products and services to its members."

Baumgartner said the group is actively looking for owners, operators and vendors for input and to help guide the formation of the group.
