OxfordSaudia To Use Frasca Flight Training Devices At New Training Center

Two Devices To Be Configured To Emulate Diamond Aircraft

OxfordSaudia, a CAE Authorized Training Center has placed an order for two Level 5 Flight Training Devices (FTDs) from Frasca International, Inc. The two FTDs will be configured as DA40NG and DA42-VI aircraft and will be located at Dammam International Airport in Saudi Arabia.

Both FTDs will feature high fidelity cockpits including Garmin G1000 NXi, GFC 700 AP, Frasca's TruVision Global visual system with custom database featuring KFIA airport and 220 degree display system and Frasca's Simplicity IOS with cab. The devices will be used for Ab Initio Flight Training in order to prepare pilots for the A320 or 737 Type training conducted by OxfordSaudia to complete the students readiness for an air carrier in Saudi Arabia.

“It was important to choose devices that offer the highest degree of realism in order to maximize the efficiency of the training in a state-of-the-art program. We want only the best for our students in every area of the training program and the choice of flight simulators for OxfordSaudia had to match our philosophy for selection of our training partners, staffing and equipment. We are uncompromising in providing the students and instructors with only those products that have the latest technology from companies with a long history of providing the highest level of quality, maintenance support and service and Frasca meets those requirements.” stated Captain Larry Wade, Chief Executive Officer, OxfordSaudia.

"These FTDs will are the highest quality devices available for Diamond aircraft, and will be excellent training tools for OxfordSaudia when integrated into their new training academy." said John Frasca, president of Frasca International.
