AD: Textron Aviation Inc. Airplanes

AD NUMBER: 2017-18-11

PRODUCT: Certain Textron Aviation Inc. Model 390 (Beechcraft Premier 1) airplanes (type certificate previously held by Beechcraft Corporation).

ACTION: Final Rule.

SUMMARY:  This AD was prompted by reports of hydraulic fluid loss from the engine driven pumps (EDPs) on three different airplanes. This AD requires an inspection to determine if an affected EDP is installed with replacement as necessary.

DATES: This AD is effective October 16, 2017

COST: The FAA estimates this AD affects 179 airplanes of U.S. registry. Inspections are estimated to cost $42.50 per aircraft. Replacement if necessary is estimated to take 3 work hours at a cost of $225 for labor and $17,388 for parts, totalling $17,643 per aircraft. According to the manufacturer, some of the costs of this AD may be covered under warranty.
