Flight Design Adds New Product Line

Rotor Wing Mixes with Fixed Wing

Lift Air, the German based parent company of Flight Design, announced their acquisition of Rotorvox – an autogyro company. The new company provides composite autogyros to the German market, and will soon be importing to the U.S. The Rotorvox C2A gyrocopter is designed to carry two people and features a twin boom design for exceptional ground stability.

Currently Flight design is producing 4 aircraft per month, and also has a new 4 seat version of the CTLS in the works.

Tom Peghiny also discussed the new CTLSi GT, the Grand Touring version of the CTLS. Among the new upscale features of the new offering, is a complete dynon panel with multiple large format large screens, with dual redundant systems, and fully integrated MFD capability on any panel at any time. The CTLSi GT offers 800 nautical miles range, at LSA speeds, and gross weight, with up to 10hrs of flight duration.

The CTLS has been certified in 5 international airworthiness standards and was developed by Flight Designs professional engineering staff with safety utmost in mind. The aircraft is 90% carbon and aramid fiber providing the passenger and pilot superior protection.
