Customer Service Noted as Primary
Selling Point
CharterAuction says it has purchased
the business of JetEquity Travel, the private jet chartering
division of Skyport Aviation.
"Strategically, we've decided to focus our efforts exclusively on
the management and growth of our very successful FBO," said Hugh F.
Regan, Skyport CEO. "In order to maximize value for our private
aviation clients, we've selected CharterAuction, well-known in the
industry for the highest standards of safety, value and quality, to
serve their needs. Also, because customer service is always the
priority, this tactical move will provide us with additional
resources to support our FBO customers."
Skyport operates a private, elegant facility, with amenities for
clients and flight crews. Located at the Westchester County Airport
in New York, the facility offers all the amenities expected from a
world-class company including a spacious departure lounge, a
state-of-the-art flight operations center and approximately 80,000
square feet of office and hangar space. In addition Skyport
provides ground support services including aircraft fueling,
cleaning, deicing and washing.
"Continuing JetEquity Travel's commitment to customer service
and safety is our top priority," said Nate McKelvey, CEO of
CharterAuction. "JetEquity Travel has done an excellent job of
servicing its clients and providing a high level of safety.
CharterAuction's infrastructure and technology will provide
additional capabilities in these areas."
CharterAuction's expert team of consultants, concierge staff and
technology enables clients to select a specific jet each time they
fly. Customers may view the jet's external features and internal
amenities online before a decision is made, get detailed safety
reports on the aircraft operator, the aircraft and the pilots, and,
through its reverse-online auction, obtain market-driven pricing
for their trip.
