It's Official: 914 TBO Extended 20%

As we reported first in April, Bombardier Recreational Products has now formally announced the extension of the Rotax 914 series' TBO. All the necessary approvals have been received from the Certificate Authority Austro Control GmbH (ACC), to increase the time between overhaul (TBO) of the Rotax 914 series of aircraft engines.

Therefore, effective immediately, the TBO for 914 engines will be increased from 1,000 hours TBO to 1,200 hours TBO. TBO increases arc for all 914 series of engines in the held, subject to the performance of applicable service bulletins.

"The extension of the TBO of the Rotax 914 series of aircraft engines proves, together with the just recently announced increase of the TBO of the Rotax 912 series of aircraft engines, the continuous quality improvement of our products. The remarkably good cooperation between Bombardier-Rotax, the authorities as well as our authorised distributors worldwide contribute to this success," said Yves Leduc, Vice President Aircraft Engines and Material Management at BombardierRotax GmbH & Co. KG. "The increase of the TBO shows that Bombardier-Rtoax stands for innovation and quality and demonstrates the commitment of our employees to our customers," he added.
