Northrop Grumman Releases Names Of Employees Killed In Saudi Arabia Terrorist At

Dead Among More than 30 Victims

Northrop Grumman Corporation Friday released the names of eight of the nine employees killed May 12 in the attack on its Vinnell Corporation facilities in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  The family of the ninth employee has requested the identity not be made public.

Six of the employees were identified as US citizens:

  • Obaidah Yusuf Abdullah, 32, Colorado Springs (CO)
  • Todd Michael Bair, 37, Worchestershire, England
  • Jason Eric Bentley, 35, Hurst (TX)
  • James Lee Carpenter II, 45, Killeen (TX)
  • Quincy Lee Knox, 43, Copperas Cove (TX)
  • Clifford J. Lawson, 46, Snellville (GA)

Two of the dead Northrop Grumman employees were citizens of the Philippines:

  • Getulio Tibayan Templo
  • Serafin Igos Hernandez

Others Hurt, Some Serious

Twelve employees remain hospitalized, two in serious condition. Vinnell Arabia is under contract to the US Army to provide training services to the Saudi Arabian National Guard. The company employs about 800 people in Riyadh, a combination of United States, Saudi Arabian and citizens of other countries.

US citizens working for Northrop Grumman in Riyadh number 300. Vinnell Corporation is part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector.
