Aero-TV: Trig Avionics Update - The TY96/TY97 and the New TMA45

Add Some Trig To Your Avionics Stack…

While at the EAA AirVenture 2016, ANN News Editor, Tom Patton, checked in with Trig Avionics to see what’s new and to get the inside scoop on their products. Tom spoke with Trig Avionics Marketing Manager, John Roper, and in this discussion they talk about radios.

While the high-end all-glass avionics combine the radio into the display, Trig Avionics fills the market need for individual panel mounted radios, transponders, and audio selector panels. Tom’s first question has to do with their TY96 radio when he asked what new features we are seeing this year.

Roper says the TY96 is the same form factor as the SL40, but hidden within the simple to operate frame are numerous features that he says pilots will love. The video goes on to demonstrate just how much can be packed into such a small package.

An example of a really cool feature is the play button. By simply pushing the button, the radio will repeat the last 30 seconds of communication allowing the pilot to make sure he/she fully understood the message. As usual, our video crew not only got the information, they also created a mini-primer of how to operate the system.

Aero-TV is a production of the Internationally syndicated Aero-News Network.
